There are many options for music on your wedding day but by far the best value is to hire a saxophonist.

They can play you down the aisle in your beautiful church venue or during your champagne reception indoors or outdoors, a sax player can entertain you during dinner with background jazz or blow your guests away on the dance floor with a DJ. They can play you into dinner for your first meal as a married couple and they can be a part of your first dance making it even more of a magical and unforgettable moment.

A lot of the time your chosen saxophone player will have collections of tunes that they are good at and that they know will land well with your guests but if you are having them play you down the aisle, into dinner or for your first dance then you will want to have something specific to your wedding.

You may have a song or piece that you’ve always dreamed of having your first dance to or you might not be that bothered but want something that will sound good that everyone will know. Whatever the flavour of your first dance, a saxophone will elevate it and be a fun addition.

If you’re not sure what to choose then have a listen to some of the below tunes. These follow on from the previous couple of posts about first dance ideas and should give you a great starting point or ballpark sound.

Can’t Help Falling In Love - Elvis Presley

lovely, wistful tune that, despite its golden oldie status, still holds up both emotionally and musically.

Everything - Michael Bublé

Mickey Bubbles isn’t only for Christmas! He also has plenty of cracking original tracks, many of which are perfect for your first dance. Have a little listen!

If I Ain’t Got You - Alicia Keys

An incredibly popular song for the first dance, a gorgeously soulful vocal well-worth having on your wedding day!

A Thousand Years - Christina Perri

Another very popular wedding tune, this was actually requested by my sister for her wedding! Beautifully sentimental and sounds fantastic on saxophone!

Count On Me - Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars is a wedding stalwart these days; he has countless tunes both for slow dancing and late-night boogying. Count On Me is a beautiful song from his debut album and well worth checking out!
